Team Leader - Addiction Recovery Program

Reporting to the Manager of Social Work Services, the Team Leader-Addiction Recovery Program is responsible for leadership and planning, administration and day-to-day operations of our 22 -bed Addiction Recovery Program.

Responsibilities include leadership, direction, and support to Addiction Recovery Program staff, ensuring implementation of an effective recovery program, liaising with the Health Authority, referral agents and other partners in addiction services.

This position carries a caseload in addition to managerial responsibilities. Qualifications for this excluded position include: a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other related field, as well as eligibility for registration in BC Association for Clinical Counselors or Board of Registration for Social Workers in BC.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of clinical and management skills with 3 years experience in addictions and/or mental health, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and expertise in problem solving and conflict resolution.

Approximate start date is May 15, 2008. This position offers a competitive salary.
