Central City LodgeSee Central City Lodge location on map Admission to Complex Care Services Our complex care services is located in Central City Lodge. The Lodge is a seven storey building - 122 bed, designed and purpose-built for long-term care and addiction programs. Residents are provided with private rooms (10 double rooms) with bathrooms. Furnished with a bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, clothes cupboard, and a chair, the rooms can accommodate personal furnishing like pictures, television, or favourite chair. The building is secured with modern security, nurse-call and fire alarm systems. It is totally wheelchair accessible. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. Resident Services"The care here is wonderful and the staff work so hard to make sure my mother understands what is going on." RW CareA dedicated team of staff members is committed to ensuring the highest quality of life for all our residents. Professional nursing care is provided on a 24-hour basis to our residents by Registered Nurses and Care Aides. The medical care of the residents is always under the direction of our Medical Coordinator. Residents may retain their own personal physician upon admission, but may choose a house physician who provides advice to our residents. A visiting dentist, podiatrist, pharmacist, physiotherapist and occupational therapist also contribute to our residents' well being. In addition, special care is available for residents with Alzheimer's Disease or other memory impairments. By providing complex care, we enable residents with deteriorating health and changing needs to remain in their familiar surroundings without the disruption associated with moving. MealsCentral City Lodge provides all meals and in between meal snacks every day. An open and friendly dining room is available where residents can enjoy their meals in a comfortable and social setting. Personal preferences are catered to and a dietitian is available to ensure that residents' special needs are identified and met. Residents are welcome to have guests at the lunch and supper meals. Housekeeping and LaundryCentral City Lodge provides a safe, spacious, comfortable and clean living environment for our residents. Residents' rooms are kept clean and personal clothing laundered on site. RecreationThe Recreation Department works to provide scheduled activity programs with therapeutic values that are compatible to our residents' interest, needs and abilities. Our calendars reflect a balance of emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, creative and social properties. We believe that in facilitating therapeutic programming and meeting our residents' needs, we create an environment in which quality of life will flourish.In collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team, our qualified recreation staff assess each residents' recreational and leisure interests and develop individual care plans to best meet their needs. Admission to Complex Care ServicesAdmission to Central City Lodge is based on an assessment of each proposed resident's individual needs. Fees/RentResidents pay a daily user fee based on his or her ability to pay. The daily user fee ranges from $27.10 up to $50 per day.
